Suming Wu (Elaine)
Founder / Lead Art Instructor
Ms. Elaine Graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Art Practice, Elaine has over 15 years of art training and a strong foundation in both Eastern and Western art education. She founded SW Art Studio to create a space where every child receives personalized guidance and grows with confidence.
From teaching her first students at home to now leading three campuses—in Fremont, Belmont, and Mountain View—Elaine continues to teach personally and knows each student’s strengths and progress. Her students have received national and international awards, but what she values most is their creativity, curiosity, and love for art.
Tiffany
Art Instructor/ Competition Guidance
Graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Digital Media Art. With a strong background in both art and design, Tiffany has years of experience guiding students through portfolio building and competition preparation. Her classes are structured yet creative, and she is patient, observant, and encouraging. Tiffany excels at helping children build a solid foundation while discovering their own artistic voice.
Michelle
Art Instructor
Graduated from UC San Diego with Department Honors and Cum Laude distinction, Michelle also received specialized training in traditional animation at UCLA. With a strong background in drawing, illustration, visual storytelling, and mixed-media art, she brings both technical depth and creativity to the classroom. At SW Art Studio, Michelle is patient, attentive, and highly encouraging, guiding each student with care while helping them build strong artistic foundations, confidence, and their own creative voice.
Zhiyun
Art Instructor
Zhiyun holds a B.A. in Animation and Illustration from San José State University and has experience teaching children in a variety of classroom settings. With a background in visual development, storytelling, and digital art, she helps students bring their ideas to life through both traditional and digital media. Her engaging and encouraging teaching style inspires students to explore their creativity while building strong artistic foundations.
Sarah
Art Instructor
Sarah studied at UC San Diego and has a strong background in visual arts and digital illustration. With several years of experience supporting and teaching students in fine arts, she is skilled at explaining artistic concepts clearly and guiding students step by step. Patient, organized, and encouraging, Sarah creates a supportive learning environment where children can strengthen their fundamentals, build confidence, and develop their own creative expression.
Zoe
Art Instructor
Graduated from UC San Diego with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts, Zoe has a strong background in drawing, watercolor, digital illustration, and visual storytelling. At SW Art Studio, she brings a creative and thoughtful approach to each class, patiently guiding students to strengthen their artistic skills while encouraging them to explore their own ideas and imagination.
Jennie
Art Instructor
Jennie graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with a B.A. in Graphic Design and has professional experience in both art education and visual design. As an experienced children’s art instructor, she is skilled at adapting her teaching to different ages, abilities, and learning styles. At SW Art Studio, Jennie brings patience, creativity, and thoughtful guidance to each student, helping children strengthen their artistic foundations, develop original ideas, and build confidence in their creative abilities.
Jiayang
Art Instructor
Jiayang studied at the University of California, Berkeley and received years of rigorous fine arts training in China, building a strong foundation in sketching, drawing, and visual arts. With a keen eye for observation and structure, he helps students develop strong artistic fundamentals while encouraging creativity and independent thinking. His patient and detail-oriented teaching style supports students in growing both their technical skills and artistic confidence.
Qingying
Art Instructor
Graduated from UC San Diego, Qingying has a background in sketching, colored pencil, and visual arts. She is patient, detail-oriented, and highly attentive to students’ individual progress. At SW Art Studio, Qingying provides clear, step-by-step guidance, helping students strengthen their artistic fundamentals, develop confidence, and approach each project with greater focus and care.
